Feminism is a movement, dealing with both personal and political issues, that strives to bring equal rights to women. It involves political and historical movements, social theories, gender politics, and philosophy. Feminist activists have campaigned for women's human right on such matters as right to abortion, protection from domestic violence, molestation and rape, prostitution, equal pay for equal work, and freedom from oppression of any kind.
Women have come a long way in terms of bridging the gulf of inequality, but there's still much work to be done. We need to ensure that we don't lose ground and lose sight of our struggle for freedom and equality for all women and children.

Portrayed as a love story, this beautifully shot 16mm short film depicts the relationship between a man and a woman. It starts with the man brushing the woman's hair. The woman with her face and body covered in blue, sits silently, gazing on. She faces the man's wrath when he sees that she has stripped off the blue layer from her body. This film raises issues of objectification and control as the female struggles to find her identity, rather than have it imposed upon her.
Megan - I love my baby who was conceived by rape.
Megan Barnett was 19 when she was raped while she was hanging out at her cousin's house. She shares her experience of what she went through the night of her rape and her subsequent decisions that led to her giving birth to her baby girl. She recalls spending time with her cousin and planning a sleep over. She woke up without her clothes on and suspected that she was raped. She went to the emergency room where she was examined and offered the morning-after pill. She refused to take the pill when it was offered to her. She explains her choice and what she was thinking about at the time and what the pregnancy meant to her.
We all have that choice, to abort or give birth, once we are pregnant. We should celebrate and protect that hard-earned freedom of choice. Whatever decision we end up making is the right one for us, regardless of the reasons and circumstances behind it. We need to believe in our ability to make that choice. Our choice to abort is equally important to protect as the choice to give birth. We need to be actively involved regarding decisions that affect our future, body, and health.
Two Sides of the Mirror
Males and females have developed a set of grooming behaviors that identifies their gender. Males shave their beards, mustaches and facial hair while females put on make up. Interestingly, males remove excess from their face whereas females add on. This gender difference is explored in front of a mirror above a sink by a female who plays both roles.
Gang Forces Pre-Teen To Have Sex With His Mom
Avian Lawson, a 14-year-old, confessed to gang raping a neighbor at gun point with 9 of other teenagers and forcing the woman's pre-teen son to have sex with her. They poured cleaning fluid into the child's eyes afterwards. People in the community are shocked but are afraid to talk, fearing retribution. When something this horrific happens, it reminds us that we are not safe, even in our own home.

Everything we surround ourselves with says something about us. Our fridge is no exception. It says a lot about how well we take care of our body, how healthy conscious we are, whether we are vegetarians or meat-eaters, whether we are single or married children, how clean and neat we keep our spaces and much more. It's another interesting indication of our identity.

One woman, who's been married for 30 years, speaks from her car about the perfect relationship. She talks about sex and what holds people together. The components that make relationships work remain constant. She believes forgiveness is vital in any relationship. People are imperfect and it's important to forgive the person who messes up. Her advice is to try to work things out, instead of throwing away a relationship. Of course, there are limits to what could be forgiven.
