The fight for Jacey came from Jacey Kleiner's mom who posted videos to youtube of her daughter who is fighting leukemia. It her therapy and it brings a smile to Jacey's face. Jacey's videos have touched a lot of people on youtube.
It started with a women who was so touched by Jacey's fight for survival that she started "The Hugs for Jacey Campaign." Others have participated by posted their own Hugs for Jacey videos. There's tremendous support. Her story signifies the tremendous human spirit. There's so much love in the world. We all need to express and share it with each other. Give someone, something a hug. Spread the love.
The Hugs for Jacey Campaign
One female started the "Hugs for Jacey Campaign" because she was touched by the videos she saw of Jacey posted by her mom. The viewer wants to show her support and love. Jacey is a 10-year-old girl battling leukemia. Instead of complaining about the raw deal that life has dealt her, Jacey's telling jokes and singing. She has taken a doll that she's made with Jacey's picture attached to it out on the streets. The video shows other people hugging the Jacey doll and expressing their well wishes. She wants others to hug Jacey and show their love. She has found a new hero. She is inspired by Jacey.
This is what activism is all about. It's starts with one thought, one word, one gesture and acting upon that and getting others to participate in the endeavor. This is a call for posting responses to "The Hugs for Jacey Campaign." She is courageous in face of her illness. Currently, Jacey is in remission but is at a high risk for relapse. She reminds us all of how precious life is and how lucky we are to be alive. Let's celebrate life!
Hugs for Jacey - Nathan and Natalie Hawkins
As a video response to "The Hugs for Jacey Campaign," Nathan and Natalie Hawkins dedicated a hug and a song to Jacey. They expressed emotion through their singing that conveys the depth of their emotions. Their share love and concern comes through as they wish Jacey well. They are beautiful people.
