Women can be so cruel to each other. In Singapore, a 30-year-old mother was jailed for 14 weeks for physical abuse against her maid who opened a window while ironing. It sounds like something minor. As punishment, the mother kicked the maid and put ice cubes down her underwear. How bizarre. I don't understand the ice cubes. It must be a form of torture, or just some sick fetish. Read more.

"Slowly, the allure of fame and fortune corrupts and destroys their youth and innocence. When I look at the Olsen twins, and all I see are husks of human beings. They are not sexy or beautiful. They are manufactured, like Barbies dolls that Mattel churns out by the millions. They were exploited by their parents, before they had any conception of what was going on. I feel sorry for them. They didn't have a choice and voice in how their bodies were used. It's ugliness what they have become and represent." Read more.
A woman was driving when she hit a patch of black ice and her car crashed into a barrier. When the police came, they ran the obligatory license check and discovered that "Mary" had an outstanding seven-year-old arrest warrant for an overdue court fine of $85 -- a misdemeanor under Rhode Island law. What happened to Mary next is shocking but commonplace. She was told to undress, spread open her butt cheeks, and take a shower in front of other female officers at the correctional center where the police took her. It was the "most degrading, humilating experience" for her. Many others have been strip-searched in this way for misdemeanors. Despite rulings that proclaim strip-searches as constituting a violation of an individual's Fourth Amendment rights, the policy to strip-search people arrested for misdemeanors continues in many states.
