When my boyfriend and I drove to Home Depot to buy some materials today, I noticed that the housing project has expanded to the very edge of the street. It was the last uncontaminated piece of land I've seen on the westside for miles. I was saddened to see it. What a wonderful view the home owners are going to have of Home Depot! There's no stopping mankind's intrusion into nature. The natural life and wilderness that inhabited that land in Marina del Rey are disrupted or dead. That's the biggest loss of all. A woman driving out of Home Depot's parking lot in her SUV rolled down her window to ask me if we were moving in there. I simply replied, "No."
