Emotion, music, and psychology have much in common. One woman analyzes emotion in the language of music. Because musicians sing and play with emotion, they understand how to to use them. She talks about emotions in the musical terms of duration and volume. Emotion that lasts too long or are too loud are not healthy. It's about about moderation and taking control over emotions.

Three years ago today, I remember I was still in bed around this time. I was awakened by my boyfriend who told me that his company was no more. Half asleep and confused, I asked him what he was talking about. He told me that the twin towers were hit. He told me to turn on the tv. I did and watched in disbelief at the burning twin towers. They were burning at the time, but have not yet crumbled to the ground. I remember that morning clearly. I am sure many people remember exactly what they were doing when the twin towers were hit. It's one of those events and moment in history that will stay with us for years to come. I don't think I will ever forget the horror I felt. I see that the survivors of the attack on the Russian school need tremendous strength to continue living. They are being treated by at a psychiatric hospital in Russia. They are on suicide watch. One woman has already committed suicide after identifying her dead child. Psychiatric treatment helps, but might not be able to erase the immense pain and loss from memory. I pray that the survivors and their loved ones will find the strength to continue on with life. Read more.
