Everything we surround ourselves with says something about us. One woman answered 25 random questions and in process revealed much about her taste, thoughts, and interests. As I listened to her, I found myself answering the questions and learned more about myself. The simplest questions could be the most provocative.

It's the New Year and most of us have made some sort of New Year's resolution. Professor Richard Wiseman follows 5,000 people as they attempt to attaining their goals. Only 10% succeeded. He highlights the five key principles. Among them are breaking down goals into smaller steps, telling family and friends about what they are trying to do, reminding themselves about the benefits, and rewarding themselves after each step, and mapping out their progress. We can employed these principles in achieving any goals. May we succeed in fulfilling our dreams in 2010.

Quarter Life Crisis

How do we get out of a rut? We evolve as individuals and something and someone that might be perfect for us years ago might not be the right now. Knowing when to quit and move on is just as important as knowing when to pursue our passions. Julia, Mary and Meghan discuss issues that pertain to women, as we get older. It's about knowing and being true to ourselves.

Some have religion and philosophy to turn to for the meaning of life. Others have nowhere and nothing to turn to for meaning. At the end, there is nothing. We are nothing. How do we live with this fact? How do we live?

Kanye West's tribute to his mama, Donda West, who passed away on Nov. 10 due to plastic surgery complications brought the audience to tears at the 2008 Grammy Awards. With MAMA shaved around his head, he sang about how she is still with him, "Last night I saw you in my dreams. Now I can't wait to go to sleep." He celebrated her love, strength, and warmth. "Unbreakable. Unmistakable. Highly capable." He spoke from his heart about the strong bond and enduring connection between him and his mama. "This life is all a dream. My real life starts when I go to sleep." He made me cry.

One woman talks about items that she has tacked on her cork board, her memories and thoughts, that are special to her. In the process, she offers us a glimpse of her life and things she holds dear. She shows us that we create our own meaning. Let's live life. Let's celebrate our memories.
