We see history in the making as Sonia Sotomayor of New York swore in as the first Hispanic justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. She represents only the third female to hold the office. She pledges to defend the constitution as a Supreme Court justice. As the demographic of the United States changes, so do the people who rise to power. We are seeing more minorities and females in charge. It's a great day! It's a great time!

I am not judging her. The mother reminded me of our self-interest and compromising ways even at the expense of our children, innocent beings whom we are suppose to protect from harm. Often women use them as negotiating chips, to extract payment from men, in whatever shape or form. Read more.

Historically and globally, females have been sold into sexual slavery and servitude or to couples who are unable to have babies. Read more.
