She's telling us to text $10 to the American Red Cross so they can deliver the water, food, and medicine to those in need. We can do our part by texting "HAITI" to 9-0-9-9-9. There are many charities that take donations to help the survivors of the Haiti earthquake. It's important that we make sure our donations are getting to those who need help. During this time of tragedy, we are reminded of our common humanity.
Nature did not take mercy on Haiti when a 7.0 earthquake struck the country and left an estimated over 100,000 dead. Due to its weak infrastructure, every building sustained damage from the quake. The human pain and agony prevail long after the initial shocks. The loss is great.
